So, whether you’re here specifically for a festival or just looking to have a good time while you’re here, make sure to check the Lake Geneva Events calendar. Here are the most popular festivals coming up in August:
Shake the Lake Music Festival
The Shake the Lake Music Festival, located on the shores of Delavan Lake, is 3 fantastic days of fun, food, and music. At only $20 for a 3-day pass to this great festival, you can’t go wrong. Enjoy 3 nights of retro 80’s rock with bands like 80’s Enough, Blooze Brothers, Sixteen Candles, and Eagles tribute band, Heartache Tonight. There will also be other fun activities, like an 80’s themed costume contest, the Walworth County Bags Tournament Championship, food trucks, and more.
Art in the Park
Lake Geneva’s Art in the Park, coming up on August 13th and 14th, is a juried fine art exhibition limited to 80 exhibitors. Art will include things like pottery fiber/leather/handmade paper, glass, graphics/printmaking/digital art, jewelry, metal, oil/acrylic painting, photography, and sculpture. There’s also a silent auction tent where you can attempt to win artwork donated by our exhibiting artists.
From August 17-21st, join us in Lake Geneva for the finest summer festival around. The Venetian Festival, now in it’s 54th year, is a spectacular weekend of entertainment. There will be a carnival, an arts and crafts fair with over 100 artists and craftspeople from all over the country, a water ski show, and a wonderful music and entertainment lineup. Music acts include Bella Cain, Christopher’s Project, The Toys, The Acoustic Generation, Max Allen Band, Too White Crew, Lake Geneva House of Music, Fresh Hops Band and more. The entire festival ends on Sunday with a traditional Venetian Style lighted boat parade and fireworks display high above Geneva Lake.
